We had a lovely evening of good company, craic and creativity with our wreath-making workshop. We are fortunate to have an active PTA to organise these types of events for us, and a member of staff who is 'green-fingered'. Our thanks go to Mrs. Burns who spent time preparing and leading our wreath-making. The end results all look amazing.
!! Update - we raised £232 for Children in Need. Great effort everyone!!!
We had a lovely day in school today raising money for Children in Need. Not only did we have crazy hairstyles, but we thoroughly enjoyed celebrating all the talented children we have, through our Grey Abbey's Got Talent event! A variety of talents were on display from dancing and singing, to sporting ability. Well done to all who took part!
Come and join us for our Christmas Fair on Friday 5th December. Festivities will start at the Christmas Tree in the village for the switch on, then move down to the school. A wonderful, family-friendly event and we can't wait to see you all there.
Come and join us for a wreath making session led by our wonderful Mrs. Burns. Tickets on sale from the school office.
To help celebrate Anti-bullying week, we wore odd socks to school on Monday. Not only did this raise awareness of the week, it also reminded us that we are all different and unique.
It was with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to Buddy, our Pets as Therapy Dog, who has been coming into school faithfully, every Monday, for the last five years. We have been very fortunate that he has been always willing to lend an ear to listen to us, and also patient with us as we brushed him and petted him. Buddy brought his owner, Daryl, with him and we will miss Daryl too! They have been an incredible duo and we wish them every happiness in retirement. Don't forget to pop in and see us form time to time.
We have been selected as one of the organisations that Tesco Stronger Starts is going to support. We are going to use the money received to help expand the provision of our early drop off club (DOZE Club) in the morning. From January we will be starting DOZE club from 8am in the morning and the children attending will also be able to receive some breakfast too.
