P7 attended Glastry College today to experience what life is like for a pupil at a post-primary school. They all had a great day, getting to experience subjects like ICT, Art, Science, Technology, PE an HE. They really got a sense of what it is like moving from one class to another and having different teachers for different subjects.
A massive thank you to Glastry for organising this.
As a reward for all their positive behaviour and filling their class ‘star jar’, P3/4 had a ‘yes day’ as a reward. They got to come in in their normal cloths, and spend the day being creative, doing and making things. A great time was had by all!
We had great fun at our Christmas Fair this year. It was lovely to see the school busy and filled with children, parents and families. It was fair to say everyone had a great time and there was plenty to do and explore, from Wee Bugs and Beasties, to visiting Santa, to browsing the stalls, to taking part in the games organised by the Scouts and finally to enjoying a hot day, coffee or hot chocolate (thanks to Dutchie for this). A massive 'Thank You' to our wonderful PTA and school who organised, setup and ran the fair, and to the Grey Abbey Community Association and the local businesses who supported us. We raised a fantastic £1637!! Well done everyone.
We had a lovely evening of good company, craic and creativity with our wreath-making workshop. We are fortunate to have an active PTA to organise these types of events for us, and a member of staff who is 'green-fingered'. Our thanks go to Mrs. Burns who spent time preparing and leading our wreath-making. The end results all look amazing.
