  • Sping walk

    Fri 13 Mar 2026

We were very fortunate to have one of the best days weather wise on Wednesday as we headed into Rosemount Estate for our spring walk. With Mrs. Montgomery hosting, and leading the way, we set off to find the swans on the lake. After this, we spent some time playing on the massive lawn and exploring the hedge garden. A super, mucky morning spent in the outdoors.

  • Titanic Workshop

    Tue 10 Mar 2026

On Monday, P7 travelled to Ballywalter Primary School to join their P7s for a special Titanic themed workshop. The guest speaker, Ivan McClean, brought along a model of the Titanic and spoke to pupils about key events surrounding the Titanic and decisions made by those in charge of the ship that contributed to the disaster.

Both groups thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the quiz at the end, as well as playing with the outdoor equipment in Ballywalter Primary School’s playground. The session was a great way to start our new class topic on the Titanic (which we will begin after Easter).

  • World Book Day 2026

    Fri 06 Mar 2026

We had a lovely day celebrating all things books, from dressing up to art competitions, online quizzes to scarecrow hunting and even had time to hear some stories read to us. Thank you to everyone for getting into the spirit of it with the costumes, some great designs and original ideas. Well done everyone!

  • A Busy Week of Outdoor Learning

    Fri 20 Feb 2026

Over the course of the this week a number of our classes took part in outdoor learning. P1/2 enjoyed the dry weather to make the most of their outdoor play; P3/4 explored Greyabbey as part of their historical walk with Joseph Long and P5/6 travelled to Mount Stewart to take part in the Starling Project. Thankfully the weather managed to stay dry for these activities and all pupils had a great time.
