We were delighted to welcome Campbell Keatings, the Community Champion from Tesco, to school during the week. He made a presentation to school of £1000 to support DOZE club. We are thankful for their support in helping us keep DOZE club well stocked with breakfast foods.
Over the course of the this week a number of our classes took part in outdoor learning. P1/2 enjoyed the dry weather to make the most of their outdoor play; P3/4 explored Greyabbey as part of their historical walk with Joseph Long and P5/6 travelled to Mount Stewart to take part in the Starling Project. Thankfully the weather managed to stay dry for these activities and all pupils had a great time.
Thanks to the tireless effort of the PTA, and the generosity of all of you and the local community, we have now raised enough money to cover the cost of our new stage. A fabulous achievement!
Over the rest of this year, any money raised will go towards refreshing and adding to our existing bank laptops which our children use regularly.
Please keep an eye out for some upcoming PTA events.
We are also very thankful to the Grey Abbey Community Association, who have made a contribution of £2500 to go towards replacing the carpet in one of our classrooms. We very much appreciate all the help and support
